The course includes the following: 6 days tuition with your selected tutor, accommodation, transport to and from the airport and all excursions, breakfast and dinner with wine at the estate, lunch with soft drinks either on the estate or at a cafe if on an excursion day.
Collection from Toulouse Blagnac Airport in our minivan at pre-determined times and locations. After a journey of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, arrive at the property, unpack and meet your tutor and fellow students. Depending on your arrival time there may be sufficient time in the afternoon to explore Cordes-sur-Ciel and the local countryside. Your tutor will discuss course structure, excursion days and other details in the evening. Pre-dinner drinks will be provided at 7.0pm, followed by dinner at 7.30pm.
Breakfast is served from 8.30am until 9.30am. We serve a selection of artisan breads and croissants, homemade preserves, muesli, yoghurt, fresh fruit, orange juice, tea and coffee.
After breakfast you will commence presentations or painting in the studio, or head into the countryside for sketching and inspiration.
Transport will be provided to nearby villages, bastide towns and local vineyards. We have a lovely vineyard close by that allow us to walk among the vines or sit on the patio overlooking the vines to sketch, take photos and be inspired. If an excursion involves staying out for most of the day, we provide lunch in a local restaurant.
Lunch is served from 1pm until 2pm, under the linden tree in the courtyard, or, if the weather is inclement, in the studio dining area. We serve a variety of fresh salads, breads, homemade quiche, pasta dishes, charcuterie and cheese. The menu varies daily and all fruits and vegetables are locally sourced or grown on the estate.
Classes usually finish around 5pm, which leaves a couple of hours’ downtime to enjoy the pool, the tennis court, a book in the sun, a walk around the property or an afternoon nap.
Pre-dinner drinks are served at 7pm in the Gazebo on the lawn or in the Grand Salon in the Manor House. Dinner is served promptly at 7.30pm. Usually we dine in the studio dining area, and sometimes in mid-summer, by candlelight under the linden tree in the garden to take advantage of the lovely aspect of Cordes-sur-Ciel at night. We serve a full 3 course gourmet meal and local wines.
The following Monday is departure day, so after breakfast it's time to head back to the airport for flights home.
