The Manor House
The nineteenth century Manor House has been restored with a balance of rustic charm and modern elegance. Double glazing and an extensive central heating system ensures year round comfort for visitors. The basement level includes a modern kitchen, casual meals area and formal dining room. The kitchen and casual dining area open on to extensive vegetated courtyards with views across the parkland gardens or to the medieval village of Cordes-sur-Ciel. The main level of the house incorporates an entrance hall, Grande Salon, reading room, television room, study and a bedroom suite. The second level has three large bedroom suites, one with a casual lounge or additional bedroom. The top floor is a converted pigeonnier with two large bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms.
The Studio is a magnificent eighteenth century restored barn with a cavernous upper level ideal for painting, seminars and other gatherings. There is a large bedroom with en-suite on one side of the Studio.
The Farmhouse is restored and furnished in traditional style. There is a cosy lounge and kitchen, four large bedrooms, three bathrooms and a private courtyard and pool.
La Borie Grande is set on five hectares of parkland and pasture. The gardens around the Manor abound with mature walnut, hazelnut, pencil pine and catalpa trees. A small orchard includes cherry, apple, pear and peach trees. There are numerous private shady sitting areas for privacy and contemplation. The grounds extend to the banks of the Cerou River where deer, hare and other wildlife are often seen. The grounds include a tennis court, croquet lawn, large saltwater swimming pool and smaller freshwater pool. Undercover parking is available for up to eight cars.
